The Book

Catastrophe Theology

The Catastrophe Theology is about the spiritual life of Francis Kai when his wife and he were diagnosed with cancer. Francis felt abandoned by God. In searching for spiritual life to get union with God, Augustine focused on the “rightly ordered loving and living” way: “What do I love when I love my God?” The Franciscans changed it to “How do I love when I love my God?” Francis discovered Martin Luther’s preaching about suffering in Christian life. He now lives a life in doctrine by reproving the doctrine for instruction to live in righteousness.
